• Overcoming the FCA Firewall for Chrysler, Dodge and Maserati

  In 2018, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) installed a firewall in their vehicles, known as the Secure Gateway (SGW). FCA covers Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM and Maserati branded vehicles.

  FCA’s SGW module prevents non-FCA authorised scan tools from communicating with vehicle systems, other than to read fault codes. To ensure your scan tool can navigate around this Firewall, your tool needs to be registered with FCA.(More details)

  As an aftermarket scan tool company, LAUNCH scan tool has an active scan tool license agreement with FCA, so LAUNCH can be provided with this capability. Once the SGW is unlocked through the authentication process, LAUNCH has the same capabilities as it did on non SGW equipped FCA vehicles. The registration is done one time and there is a yearly subscription required. The number of vehicles you can service is unlimited.

  If you have Please activate connector message come up on the screen and you already registered your machine, this means the account you logged in is NOT for this machine, so please find out the right username and password for your machine.

Connection & Wi-Fi Issues

• Wi-Fi Not Working on PRO3/PRO/SCANPAD or CRP229

  WIFI not connecting. (Apply to CRP229 and SCANPAD).

  Before sending the machine back, please try to connect the machine to a different network with strong signal and no other users on it to test if the machine if WIFI faulty.
  If still have the same problem, it could be hardware issues, please send it back for further inspection.
